Training Opportunities
NRTB relies solely on the efforts of volunteers to operate this non-profit, non-governmental organization. Fortunately, Massachusetts has more land trusts per square inch than any other place in the universe, plus several hundred conservation commissions and other groups with similar interests. The result is that NRTB members and leaders can avail themselves of leading-edge conservation training, offered nearby and at a reasonable cost. |
| This web page provides opportunities for training in the areas of conservation, land transaction, and organizational development. If you know of additional opportunities, please advise James Hayes-Bohanan (jhayesboh@bridgew.edu or 508-531-2118). |
If you decide to attend any of these training workshops, contact James Hayes-Bohanan to arrange possible carpooling and to ensure that NRTB properly documents the training its volunteers complete. The latter is usually accomplished by paying workshop fees through the NRTB; we have successfully leveraged such expenditures in the past, as part of our external grant writing.
